Noberne Seals Limited recognises its responsibility towards the protection of the environment, and issues this policy as a statement of the commitment of both management and employees at the Larchfield Road site to minimise the environmental impact of all its operations.
Noberne Seals Limited‘s environmental guidelines include the following:
- The Company will provide a working environment, which complies with all relevant Environmental and Health & Safety legislation as a minimum requirement.
- The Company will regularly review and make publicly available environmental objectives that take account of:
a) significant environmental effect rising from the site
b) commitment to continual improvement of environmental performances
c) future developments in Environmental legislation
3. Develop and implement programmes to enable environmental objectives and subsequent targets to be achieved. These objectives will include:
d) conserving resources by reducing the consumption of both raw material and energy wherever practicable
e) promoting waste minimisation within its business and recycling as much of its waste as practically possible
f) preventing emissions to air of dust and discharges to land or water of hazardous fluids
g) ensuring that suppliers to the Company are also committed to environmental improvement
h) eliminating unnecessary packaging and over-packaging and modifying it to reduce the impact it has on the environment
4. It is company policy to implement its best efforts to purchase goods from within the UK or European Union to reduce carbon emissions for goods in transit.
5. Respond promptly and effectively to environmental incidents and implement appropriate corrective action.
6. Ensure the new or changed processes and new products are assessed as to their potential environmental impact prior to approval.
The Company will periodically review and revise this policy as developments in the implementation of an environment management system proceeds.
