APPLICATIONS

FireGlaze 30 Compound is a specialised intumescent supplied in 310ml cartridges and applied by skeleton gun to form discrete vertical butt joints thus providing , for example, approximately 12 linear metres of 6mm bead. Easy to follow, illustrated instructions are provided.

Available in Black, Brown, Cream & White.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Fireglaze Compound can be used for a butt-jointed system that has a 30 minute fire integrity rating (BS
476: Part 22) using panels in any size up to 3 by 1.6 metres.
• Unlimited runs can be fixed into untreated timber (or steel)
perimeter frame.
• Quick and easy to install, the FireGlaze Compound is water-based and erosion-resistant.

Some glazing seals are designed to reduce sound transmission, particularly in acoustic glazing applications. They provide both fire rated sealing and sound damping properties.

Fire-rated glazing seals typically contain intumescent materials that expand when exposed to fire temperatures creating an effective barrier against fire and smoke and preventing the spread.

Typically glazing seals with fire rated materials can achieve ratings from 30 minutes up to 120 minutes, depending on the seal formulation and application thickness
