Hodgson Sealants Firestrip 60 – 20mm x 3mm x 15m roll
60 minutes fire protection
Firestrip 60 is proven to resist fire for up to one hour. Because it holds a CF297 BWF Certifire certificate and is tested to EN1364 and EN1634, it’s one of the safest ways to protect against the spread of fire in timber doors and screens.
Because it’s quick to fit and cheaper than other rigid or semi-rigid fire resistant materials, Firestrip 60 helps you save time and money on your project.
Ideal for timber doors and screens
You can use this tape for glazing semi-insulating and full insulating glass into timber fire doors. As well as softwood or hardwood timber screens. It’s a high tack tape, so it gives you excellent adhesion. And its smooth surface is easy to paint over or coat with a wood stain.
Sold in 15m rolls or boxes containing 7 No. 15m rolls (20mm x 3mm)
Available in Mahogany and Off White.
Fire rated glazing tape is used to seal fire-resistant glass in windows, doors, partitions and walls where fire protection is required. Overall the fire rated glazing tape is designed to securely bond and seal fire-rated glass into framing systems, while maintaining the integrity of the fire rating.
Unlike standard glazing tape, fire-rated glazing tapes are designed to withstand high temperatures during fire conditions, providing passive protection
Yes, most glazing tapes are weather resistant and this applies to fire rated glazing tapes too. Our fire rated glazing tapes can withstand UV exposure, rain, wind, fire & smoke
Fire rated glazing tape is faster to apply, and provides instant adhesion without curing time. Sealants can be messier but may be more flexible in irregular joints. It depends on your requirements and the structural design.
Fire-rated glazing seals typically contain intumescent materials that expand when exposed to fire temperatures creating an effective barrier against fire and smoke and preventing the spread.
Some glazing seals are designed to reduce sound transmission, particularly in acoustic glazing applications. They provide both fire rated sealing and sound damping properties.
