Lorient Flexible Figure 1 Glazing Gasket
Lorient’s Flexible Figure 1 is designed for use with glazed apertures in 30 minute fire resistant doors.
The glazing system comprises:
A 50m reel of bead applied intumescent strip.
Flexible, quick and easy to install.
Suitable for use with a variety of fire resistant glass types.
Unique design which enables tolerances between door, bead and glass thicknesses to be accommodated.
Available in other colours upon request, please call 0113 271 3266 or email sales@noberneseals.com to discuss.
Glazing gaskets are sealing components used to secure glass panels in fire-rated doors, windows, and partition assemblies. They provide both structural support to hold the glass in place and passive fire protection by preventing flame and smoke penetration around the glazing edges during fire conditions.
Fire-rated glazing gaskets contain intumescent materials that expand when exposed to fire temperatures, creating a solid seal that prevents fire and smoke from passing around the glass edges.
Fire rated Glazing Gaskets typically last 10-15 years under normal conditions but this can vary based on environmental factors and if they are damaged.
Glazing gaskets are available with fire ratings of up to 60, 90, and 120 minutes, providing reliable passive protection.
Some glazing seals are designed to reduce sound transmission, particularly in acoustic glazing applications. They provide both fire rated sealing and sound damping properties.
Fire-rated glazing seals typically contain intumescent materials that expand when exposed to fire temperatures creating an effective barrier against fire and smoke and preventing the spread.
Typically glazing seals with fire rated materials can achieve ratings from 30 minutes up to 120 minutes, depending on the seal formulation and application thickness
