Lorient LAS1016 Firtree® Acoustic & Smoke Seal – 6mm Blade x 2.1m
Lorient LAS1016 Firtree® is a kerf-fit acoustic and smoke perimeter seal with a 6mm flexible fin, designed for 4–6mm door gaps. Suitable for the head and jambs of single and double-leaf doors, it helps protect against sound, cold smoke, draught and light. Supplied in 2.1m lengths.
Lorient LAS1016 Firtree® 6mm Acoustic & Smoke Seal
The Lorient LAS1016 Firtree® is a flexible, durable acoustic and cold-smoke perimeter seal designed for use around fire-rated and non-fire-rated door assemblies.
Featuring a 6mm flexible fin, the LAS1016 is designed to accommodate larger door gaps of 4mm to 6mm. It helps provide containment against sound, smoke, draught and light while allowing the door to operate freely.
Unlike a surface-mounted seal, the Firtree® profile is kerf fitted. The rigid back is interference fitted into a 3mm wide groove, providing a neat installation with minimal disruption to the door assembly.

Important: The LAS1016 provides acoustic and cold-smoke sealing; it is not itself an intumescent fire seal. Lorient states that it can be used with fire seals where fire resistance is required.
Perimeter Seals are sealing solutions designed to create a an airtight fire resistant barrier around the edges and perimeter of fire doors, regular doors, joints and openings. Perimeter seals prevent passage of water, fire and smoke through gaps.
Perimeter Seals can typically last 10 -15 years with annual inspections and maintenance.
Acoustic seals provide sound insulation by sealing gaps using materials that absorb and dampen sound waves to block sound transmission through gaps around doors, windows, and other gaps such as cable openings.
Majority of Acoustic seals can last from 10 to 15 years of optimal performance depending on the type of acoustic seal and conditions.
Some acoustic seals provide more than just soundproofing capabilities, a selection of acoustic seals can be fire resistant for up to 60 minutes.
