This seal is for use in timber door assemblies, tested to BS EN ISO 140-3: 1995. APPLICATION: Pedestrian doorsets, single and double leaf configurations including flush bolt accommodation, manufactured by CCE.

This seal fixes using pre-assembled woodscrews or self-tapping screws.

Plunger and adjustment type: Self-directing articulated metal plunger with nylon cap, adjustable with a 3 mm Allen wrench.

Technical Characteristics include:

  • A Sound-insulating seal in self-extinguishing PVC or TPE. B Sound-insulating seal in self-extinguishing silicone.
  • Graduated scissor action (seal drops on hinge side before lock side).
  • 14 mm maximum drop.
  • Galvanised steel flat springs and actuators in PA reinforced with 20% glass fibre.
  • 6060 T6 aluminium alloy profiles.
  • Mechanism removable from hinge side after fixing.

Certifications include:

  • Sound insulation of up to 51 dB certified by LSW – IFT LABOR für Schall Wärmemesstechnik Prof.Fritz Holtz .
  • Tested to 200,000 closing cycles by the IFT Rosenheim certification organisation.
  • Mechanism removable from both hinge and lock sides (patented system).

Sizing:

  • Lengths: 330 – 430 – 530 – 630 – 730 – 830 – 930 – 1030 – 1130mm.
  • Trimming Lengths: 150mm side opposite plunger.

Each size can be cut down by 100mm with the exception of the shortest length (usually 330mm).

Drop down seals operate with different activation mechanisms. They can be either mechanical activation, electromagnetic activation, or spring loaded. When activated the drop down seal extends downwards to seal the bottom of doors and retract when the door is closed.
