Therm-A-Blade is a combined intumescent fire and smoke seal designed for use around fire-resisting door assemblies where both fire protection and smoke control are required.

Unlike a conventional brush or pile smoke seal, Therm-A-Blade incorporates a flexible elastomeric blade. The blade makes contact with the door surface to help restrict the passage of cold smoke through the gap between the door leaf and frame.

When exposed to increasing temperatures during a fire, the intumescent material expands to help seal the gap and restrict the passage of fire and hot gases.

The 10mm x 4mm x 2100mm Therm-A-Blade provides a slim profile suitable for a range of fire door applications.
