Therm-A-Seal 20mm x 4mm x 2100mm Intumescent Fire Seal
Therm-A-Seal 20mm x 4mm x 2100mm Intumescent Fire Seal
Therm-A-Seal is a high-performance graphite-based intumescent seal designed for use around fire-resisting door assemblies.
When exposed to fire, the intumescent material expands to produce a high-volume foam, helping to seal the gap between the door leaf and frame and restrict the passage of fire and hot gases.
The 20mm x 4mm Therm-A-Seal is suitable for use in a range of fire door applications. Some latched, single-leaf, single-swing FD60 timber fire-resisting door assemblies can satisfy the requirements of BS 476 Parts 20 and 22 when fitted with a single 20mm x 4mm Therm-A-Seal across the head and down both jambs. The precise seal configuration should always be selected in accordance with the fire door manufacturer’s test evidence or certification.
Therm-A-Seal uses an exfoliating graphite-based intumescent material with high expansion characteristics and is suitable for both timber and steel fire-resisting door assemblies.
