Therm-A-Stop 10mm x 4mm x 2100mm Fire & Smoke Seal
Therm-A-Stop is a combined intumescent fire and smoke seal designed for use in fire-resisting door assemblies that require smoke control.
During the early stages of a fire, the smoke seal helps reduce the flow of smoke and air through gaps between the door leaf and frame. As temperatures increase, the graphite-based intumescent material expands to help seal the gap and restrict the spread of fire and hot gases.
For most latched, single-leaf, single-swing FD30S timber fire-resisting door assemblies, the manufacturer advises that a single 10mm x 4mm or 15mm x 4mm Therm-A-Stop down each jamb and across the head will usually be satisfactory.
