Intumescent Sealants & Mastics
Intumescent sealants and fire mastics are a great solution for when small and inaccessible areas need to be sealed, for example pointing around doors and windows. Fire can penetrate even these small gaps so it’s important to use an appropriate fire sealant.
Fireproof sealants can also be used to seal smaller pipe penetrations, for when intumescent pipe wraps aren’t suitable.
What is an Intumescent Sealant?
An Intumescent sealant is a durable and flexible seal which offers passive fire protection that expands when exposed to extreme heat.
Our ranges of intumescent sealants are fire rated up to 4 hours and offer a fantastic adhesion to many common building substrates. With their resistance to ozone, UV and Temperature Extremes, it is extremely quick drying and is generally tack-free within two hours of application.
Easy installation for any application
Intumescent Sealants and Mastics are extremely easy to install, simply squeeze the handle and point the nozzle in the area which requires fire protection. No preparation or priming is necessary for the application of these intumescent sealants.
