Pyroplex Fire, Smoke & Acoustic Door Seal (Brush) 30mm x 4mm

The Pyroplex Intumescent Door Seal with Brush Pile combines fire protection with smoke and acoustic sealing for fire-resisting timber doorsets.

The integral brush pile helps restrict the passage of cold smoke through the gap between the door leaf and frame while also providing acoustic performance. When exposed to fire, the intumescent material expands to help seal the gap and restrict the passage of fire and hot gases.

The 30mm x 4mm profile has primary test evidence for 60-minute fire resistance, together with smoke and acoustic performance.

Certifire: CF355 – TS35 & TS21

Important: The correct seal size and configuration should always be selected in accordance with the fire door manufacturer’s test evidence.

Fire and smoke seals prevent the spread of fire and smoke by filling gaps between the fire doors and the door frame. Typically the smoke seals block smoke from spreading before the fire seals activate and provide the full passive protection.

Fire and smoke seals should be inspected every six months and damaged fire and smoke seals should be urgently replaced.

Installation of fire and smoke seals should be fitted around the edges of fire doors and the door frame to provide strong fire resistance and prevention of spreading.
